Welcome to Ouroboros AI! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services provided by Ouroboros AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using our website or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the service.

1. Service Description

Ouroboros AI provides AI-augmented tools for writing, editing, and structuring documents and content. Access to the platform requires registration and an active user account.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features at any time, with or without notice, to ensure platform integrity and user safety.

2. User Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU) to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Our platform offers monthly and annual subscription plans. Payment processing is securely handled by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis.

  • Free Trial: If you cancel during the free trial, you will not be charged.
  • Billing Cycle: Charges recur at the beginning of each subscription period.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time via the account dashboard. No charges will occur in the month of cancellation.
  • Refunds: You are eligible for a full refund of up to three months of charges if you have not used the service during that time, as confirmed by server logs.

All fees are in USD unless otherwise stated.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt the platform
  • Misrepresent your identity or violate the rights of others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.

5. Intellectual Property

All content and software associated with Ouroboros AI is the intellectual property of Ouroboros AI or its licensors. Your access is limited to personal or business use as licensed—not ownership.

You retain rights to the documents and content you create using our platform.

6. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access for any violation of these Terms or legal obligations.

Upon termination, your access to the service and related data will be revoked, except as required to fulfill legal obligations (e.g., billing records, security logs).

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no guarantees about accuracy, uptime, or suitability for any specific purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ouroboros AI disclaims all liability for:

  • Loss of profits, revenue, or data
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Unauthorized access or data breaches beyond our reasonable control

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the past 12 months.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app message. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
